Claire’s beauty, combined with her great golf swing, has made her a social media sensation within the golfing world. Who Is Claire Hogle?
Claire Hogle was born September 3rd, 1999 in San Diego, CA. She is the daughter of Glenn Holgle and Sherri Romo and has one sibling, an older brother named Weston. Claire has stated she’s from a golfing family although she never fell in love with the game as a kid. However, she did play the game recreationally and one day, after flushing several 7-irons at the driving range, decided to take it more seriously.
By the time Claire reached Rancho Bernardo High School, she was all in on golf. It’s safe to say Claire was a special player while in high school as she strung together an undefeated streak of 55 matches that lasted until she graduated. During this time, she also played in some junior golf tournaments on the Southern California PGA Junior Tour and had some nice results, consistently shooting in the upper 70’s.
With success of this magnitude, it’s no surprise colleges came knocking, and she decided to play golf for Cal State San Marcos, which is located in her hometown of San Diego.
College Years
While at Cal State San Marcos, Claire excelled on the golf course as well as in the classroom. Unfortunately, she only got to play three seasons of collegiate golf as her senior season was canceled due to the pandemic of 2022. During those three seasons of play, Claire had 11 Top 5 finishes which included multiple runner-up finishes. During her freshman season, Claire helped lead the team to the school’s first ever CCAA Championship. See all of Claire’s athletic and academic achievements below. The academic awards are quite impressive! Claire has a strong head on her shoulders.
Social Media Rise
Claire always wanted to play professional golf after college, but unfortunately, a shoulder injury prevented her from pursuing it. With professional golf off the table, Claire turned her attention to social media. Having already built around 20k Instagram followers while in college, she branched out and started making YouTube videos with Golfholics. Those videos became quite popular and having seen that success, Claire created her own YouTube channel. She found instant success and now collaborates with some of the biggest golf influencers on the YouTube platform.
While all of this was going on, Claire was still posting on Instagram, and many of the “Golf Babe” Instagram accounts started to take notice of her and began reposting her photos. This led to a massive spike in followers. The snowball effect started and the next thing you know, Claire currently has nearly 850k followers on Instagram. Oh yeah, and she has almost 174k TikTok followers as well!
Claire has stated she wasn’t a fan of “Golf Babes” as she was always super focused on competitive golf. With the success she’s had over the last couple of years, I think it’s safe to say that her opinion has changed.
